The Author

Born and raised in Toulouse to a Constantinian Jewish family, Binyamin Meir Khalifa made Aliyah to Jerusalem at the age of 22. Married to a woman from the Bene Israel community of India, he is the father of four children, for whom the living transmission of Judaism has become a concrete and daily mission.

A programmer and designer by training, he combines technical rigor and artistic flair to create original visual and educational works. A Hazan and passionate student of Torah, he draws inspiration from the Tanakh, Midrash, and Jewish tradition, with deep respect for minhagim and the diversity of communal heritages. His approach seeks to remain faithful to the sources while opening an accessible gateway to the different layers of text, from Pshat to the deeper dimensions of Midrash and Sod.

Through Or HaZeev, he aims to make foundational texts accessible, vivid, and visually powerful. Illustrated books, structured timelines, immersive videos, and educational materials share a common goal: connecting the depth of tradition to today's generations. His work combines rigorous study, immersive storytelling, and contemporary aesthetics to allow families, students, and teachers to explore Jewish heritage with excellence, respect, and light.

The name Or HaZeev also bears a personal dimension: "Zeev" (Wolf) refers to the tribe of Benjamin, traditionally associated with the wolf, while "Or" (Light) alludes to the name Meir. The project thus embodies the symbolic union of identity, heritage, and the light of transmission.
